I looked at everything. The bears are highly active, and influencing my thoughts. I have seen two owls in three days. Things appear out of no where in the daytime that are nocturnal animals. When you are close to nature you can see the changes on such a microscopic level. Somehow this allows examination with a different lens, and we come closer to the truth of how small we truly are.

I recall once my Mother asked me something. She said ‘Sarah. What if you just became a teacher at a school and had a more ordinary life? You could have a regular income, and particular hours, so you could really have a life.’

I said, ‘I would die.’

I laugh out loud about it as I construct mirror sculptures with fishing line….

Mirrors on the Mind

From June 10th-June 31st, I am going to place thousands of small mirrors to sparkle the surrounding landscape in honor of artists both living and departed. That’s pretty exciting….

The Mirrors of Near Infinite Possibility A.K.A Sparkle Park

From June 10th-June 31st, Sarah will transform a small park at the Bear Complex (the area directly behind the Bearsville Theater itself), with an installation entitled, ‘Mirrors of Near Infinite Possibility’. Fimm will create an unforgettable spectacle by placing thousands of small mirrors to sparkle the surrounding landscape in honor of artists both living and departed. Using non-harmful methods, the mirrors will be displayed in specific locations, scattered on the trees, bushes and buildings. The river alongside will symbolize that there is always art flowing and that we must respect it, cherish it, and honor its place on this Earth.
